As I say might just be me, just didn’t sit right while watching today.
Watching for the first time today and just found the above particularly distasteful. I note the presenter warned the images would be shown but I'm struggling to see the need to do so.

Also feels unusual they are only showing a report of the body being moved, but not covering the family's statement or a short obituary. Feels misjudged, but maybe I've missed those other things earlier in the day.

It was explained on many news channels that the person being stretchered out was one of the rescue team who had been injured during the search. The terrain can be quite dangerous, even for the locals who know it quite well.

This was not what was shown in the 9pm hour on Sky News.

Hmmm. The over-sensitivity vs video journalism gives me pause. Particularly who its applied to. Could be an interesting discussion. But it might go off the rails on here.

Surprised no one so far mentioned the nice remixed sky news theme used in the Election Studio Reveal promo. I expect this to be used during election night.

Cool and calm work here from (a) Sam Coates to be completely unperturbed by the sweary interruption, and (b) the gallery to to turn his mic down so quickly, though they didn't evade any of the bad language being picked up.

Presumably there was an apology on return to the studio.

There was indeed a apology when they returned to the Westminster studio

Twice in a week, they have dropped the F bomb live on Sky!

Friday with a Scottish kid in a pub in the run up to the football shouting F*** you Germany, and now this!

RE: Sky News - bkman1990 - 21-06-2024

I read from Digital Spy earlier that Sky News is now HD only on Virgin TV cable boxes in the UK.

Sky News HD is now available for everyone using VM UK boxes on 602.

I wonder how long it will take to get it upgraded to HD on Sky Satellite & Freesat.

I can confirm this to be correct. Sky News HD is on 602, what was Sky News SD on 603 now is a channel update screen to say that Sky News in no longer broadcasting in standard definition.
