Plus there's the UK Budget mid-month.

All big UK political stories, but of little relevance to global audiences.

I had the same thought earlier as to how they are going to handle these stories, I have a couple of TV's in the office at work, gonna have one on SKY News the other BBC News, going to be fascinating to conpare the two going forward

It is going to be an issue and I'm intrigued how they'll balance it - I do think there are ways of striking an acceptable balance in shared output, even if it remains sub-optimal due to differing the obvious differences in crafting domestic and international news.

But things like Johnson giving evidence to the Privileges Committee are known about in advance, so I imagine they'll be able to divert some resources to opt-out. Budget day, again, they'll presumably take the network coverage from Millbank as per usual (maybe staying on longer on the NC). It'll be any unplanned breaking news of UK only relevance that'll be the real issue for the next month.

They didn't bother re-lighting E as blue for WBR this morning, which is a shame.

Perhaps it has something to do with the large red semi-transparent panel at the end of the catwalk (behind Camera 5) which may have looked out of place, along with the red barriers outside the studio behind the presenter which also can't change colour.

05:30 edition of WBR goes on-air unbranded even from Studio C, see for example, last Friday:

The 5:30am edition is always unbranded we should get one at 7:45am for World viewers.

EDIT: Yes it’s blue, Studio E is blue :-)

Is Studio C still broke? don’t know if it came back overnight.

WN is still broadcasting from E from 0600 this morning. Not sure which gallery was the NC using to handle the 0555-0600 trails into Breakfast...

The blue lightbox mixed with red on the windows is sooo beautiful... They just need to put some graphics on the curvature panels in front of the desk... It's currently black...

5am came from Studio E.

Putting current Studio C mishaps aside, given that daytime hours during the upcoming month will be from E, it is indeed interesting whether they will bother relighting it in blue for WBR. They can do it, they did for Newsnight in 2020.
Compare it with how WBR looks from C. To my eyes, the red newsroom background will not be much of a problem, because a) WBR is done mainly on a catwalk b) The background videowall in studio C in its current has a lot of red, even during WBR.

However, given the over all brand redundacy during the month, the daytime business bulletins might go the way of 0530 one.

UPD. Too slow typing, so they did it for World-only 0630 bulletin! Makes you wonder whether they did not want to confuse UK viewers with a blue-colored studio at 0530 (today and for the last couple of years) and what it means for the daytime...

Despite being on Studio E, they used the BBC World News opener. I kinda wish that they used the BBC News channel open with the overhead camera.
