Does that count as two separate shifts as I thought each newsreader only did one shift a day but I may be wrong.
No, typically during the interim period the morning 09:00-11:00 presenter also presents the 13:00-14:00 hour on World, with The Context presenter also presenting the 18:00-19:00 hour on World.

That explains it. Thank you. But I wonder what happens next week at 1200 and 1700 UTC (1 and 6) on current world outlets?

And earlier I meant Ben Boulos. Mis-spelt his name!

- Thursday 19:00: Final Outside Source
- Thursday 21:00: Final The Context
- Friday 08:00: Final BBC World News bulletin
- Sunday 17:35: Final use of Studio E's original set (not confirmed)
- Sunday 19:15: Final Sport Today
- Monday 02:00 - Final regular overnight shift from London (not confirmed where weekend overnights are coming from)

Obviously, it'll sadly also be the last presenter shifts for some, though, other than the core five, who knows what is happening from next Monday presenter-wise. Is there anything else I've missed?
Friday at 18:00 is likely to be the final BBC World News bulletin, but Monday at 0500 for the UK NC is listed as BBC World News, so this could hint at the full switch over to the single service happening at 9am on Monday.

Jane Hill making her second news channel appearance after she thought and announced she had done her final NC shift.

To say that everyone is a bit confused is an understatement.

I wasn't sure how that hour was branded on air, 08:00 is thus only the last officially listed as BBC World News - though, of course, there has often been an inconsistency between listed branding and on-air branding when it comes to standard bulletins - the 05:00 bulletin was still being listed as The World Today on the BBC News channel as late as 2011!

She specifically mentioned "standalone NC shift" in that tweet, which is not the case today - she does 5pm hour because she did the 1pm network bulletin.

Not many new details, but they've published an article that talks a bit about the new channel.

[*]As already said, no 'big bang' - changes phased in over next few months.
[*]Six core presenters will start in new slots from start of April "although not all of their new programmes will be starting then".
[*]Nicky Campbell will appear "in the coming weeks".
[*]"We will always respond to breaking and developing news in the UK."
[*]More updates and live reporting, plus greater efforts to show how information is verified.

"In the coming weeks, UK viewers will be able to watch Radio 5’s Nicky Campbell Show as a TV programme."

Why would anyone tuning into a TV news channel want to do this though?  (Roll eyes sarcasm)
If they think this works so well, and seeing as there's so much spin around the BBC now being a "digital first" news organisation, make Nicky Campbell's radio phone in available as a live stream on iPlayer and the BBC news website, and leave the TV news channel to report, umm, actual made for TV news......

But it seems Nicky Campbell's phone in will be forced on UK viewers on BBC 2 and BBC News (UK) whether we want it or not, with no option to watch the proper TV news channel between 9 - 11am in a few weeks time.

Soooo essentially a Press Release which tells nobody anything we didn't already know. BOOM!

Surely they won't plonk this drivel on BBC Two as well. I'd rather watch 'News' than this concept.

Which begs two questions:

1) Who is the sixth core presenter? We only heard about five!

2) "Not all of their new programs" - if we look at the schedule now, none of their new programs start from the beginning of April. So, will there be any that do?
