I vaguely recall mentions of content of some form coming from the newsroom, and I've just noticed these two screens, the vertical one on the left with the website, and the 'normal' one with the image of the Pope on the right, and it looks like they may be trialing these positions now.

Finding some TOTHs from last week, it looks like the screens were added sometime last week from Tuesday onwards.

Just zoomed in on the group of screens on the right with the pope’s image on. Is the left hand screen of this groups show the new recreated globe? Although it’s not very clear it does seem to have a similar appearance to the new newsline titles.
Nope, it's just the titles of "The World at One" from BBC News Arabic:

The titles are in FoA style~

BBC News Channel started showing BBC World News headlines just now before cutting to the Six O'Clock News.

That's two  days in a row , though  yesterday was only a glimpse of the world presenter rather than the five or so seconds today

The NC has been having lots of problem with the network router this month...

We've had a case where they accidentally switched to Studio C and WN at the start of the NaO and they crashed right back 4 minutes later...

We've also had a case where they forgot to switch gallery TX at the end of NaS for Sportsday and they took BBC London News for a good few minutes...

And then there's today where they forgot to switch to Studio B at the TOTH and crashed into the middle of NaS headlines...

When world started just now at 6, it seems that there was another late switch. What I have noticed is that the sustaining World feed has BBC News as it's on screen graphics when displayed, but world itself says BBC world news.

So what are they carrying on BBC news UK feed? A separate feed of bbc world with different on screen identity? And where is this raw version seen? Or is it just internal?

Noticed two.minutirs in the gallery that was posted yesterday. BBC news in the left, world on the right. Would the one on the left be UK current version or the world sustaining service with BBC news graphics?

I think the programme has been limping along for a long time without the old screen and Ros Atkins. Notwithstanding what’s happening with the News Channel I think it’s time for the brand to come to an end.

Always thought it was a gimmick-based show that lasted longer than it should have personally.

Really, Outside Source was two separate programmes with quite different formats that happened to share the same name - a bit like the various versions of The World Today and Newsday that have existed over the years.

Personally, I quite liked it, particularly the second version - the explainers were always quite good and, although news outlets often like to tout they'll explain things in-depth, it's really one of the few cases where they've actually tried to do that. And they were clearly doing something right to be as successful as they were - hope something in that vein is used on the new channel.
