Looks like a change of plan as Martine is continuing at 11.

Most likely somebody did not show up on time.

It appears Maryam wasn't on time! She's sat in the chair at 11.30am.  Big Grin

Not a good look for one of the fab 5. Cool

It didn't go unnoticed by Martine, on Twitter.

And not a good look considering the launch is on Monday!

RE: BBC News Channel/BBC World News Merger - DTV - 31-03-2023

Just so we have it on the record, am I right in saying these are the regular times of the business/sport segments during the interim period:

Business: 11:30 (WBR), 14:30 (WBR), 16:45
Sport: 09:30, 13:30 (UK only), 15:30, 17:30

Are there any such segments during the 13:00 and 18:00 World hours?

World Service audio just broadcast on the news channel by mistake. I think I’ve seen more technical problems in the last week than I have in the last year. It reminds us how the cuts are affecting the off camera team as well as the familiar faces.

I just posted the same in the other thread!

Yes, it’s a shame - but hopefully it won’t be such an ongoing issue (trying to be optimistic). The live channel is running on low resources since so many people are involved in the rehearsals and preparation for the new channel. Many staff have already left, so they don’t have the resources to run “two full channels” any more (even compared to a few months ago) yet this is effectively what they are doing at the moment, only one is not broadcast.
