I was wondering the same thing. It would make sense, the overlap between viewers of this programme and viewers of the News Channel must be pretty sizeable. Similarly, Politics Live could easily be simulcast if they stretched it to an hour and incorporated a news summary and weather bulletin.

Are the 30-minute Sunday morning regional political programmes no longer a thing?

They always return a little later than the 0900 programme. I think they may only broadcast during parliamentary weeks.

Ah, okay.

I did wonder if they'd been quietly dropped à la We Are A̶ ̶P̶o̶o̶r̶ ̶R̶e̶p̶l̶a̶c̶e̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶F̶o̶r̶ ̶I̶n̶s̶i̶d̶e̶ ̶O̶u̶t̶ England.

Is the panel on the front of the desk an LED panel or a lightbox? I've assumed LED panel - not just because of the graphic for LK, but also because I assume the reason it doesn't reach the top of the desk is due to limited options in LED panel size. But the fact that the LK logo was, to my notice, unmoving made me wonder if it is simply a changeable backlit panel - as per the old election desk in N9. Just seems odd to go to the expense of an LED panel if you are only going to use it for block colour or still images.

From this it looks like an LED panel

That's pretty much a confirmation, thanks. Odd then that they wouldn't even include a little bit of movement in the desk logo. Isn't the Millbank desk the same - LED panel but only using still images?

(Though, hopefully they don't end up going full Sky News circa mid-2000s after the rebrand and having story text and graphics on there).

Today, the show was in the Museum of Liverpool because the Labour Party conference is being held in the city.

I think they did a good job - a wide range of camera angles, and they brought the chairs with them!

First time we’ve seen the opening titles since the first show, and the way she walks about in them in that pink suit does still look very Lorraine

I don't understand why they don't do a proper newspaper review at the start of the programme, it worked well for Marr & Frost.
