Yes - assumed he was a relative newbie rather than had been at the BBC a decade but of the "new" faces he seemed quite competent.

I agree he was good. I wouldn't necessarily describe any of the "newcomers" as incompetent, but dare I say how much I'm still missing certain people who haven't appeared on screen at all since the merger, who it's looking increasingly unlikely we will ever see presenting again given we haven't heard any more since October.
