The NC sombre countdown theme just returned and it went out on NC and WN as they wait to join the News at Six... It was in the format of the filler though without the clock.

In the regional headline opt the network feed has a pre-recorded Joanna Gosling in a CSO studio (F/G/H), featuring the new and improved green screen backdrop replicating the fixed shot of Studio C

Does anyone know where the news was broken first? Was it Huw on BBC One?

RE: Queen Elizabeth Dies - Andrew - 09-09-2022

Regional News on ITV and at least here in the Calendar region we had full HM Queen related opening titles and of course dark graphics on the backdrop screens

BBC One HD (network) is taking the NC rather than the red screen during the regional opt-outs.

Radio wise, 5 Live was at 18.31, Sky News was also at 18.31, Radio 4 at 18.32.

All BBC national stations joined together for the formal announcement at 18.36.

They all had it at the same time. At the BBC, networks had joined anyway so there was no delay, but as pointed above, perhaps there was? I didn’t see much of a delay.

Max Foster on CNN was the first as far as I can tell from the 5 feeds I was monitoring.
