Switchable, perhaps? I seem to remember Scotland having one circuit from the Broadcast Centre (and the ability to remotely control what went down it).

I’d love to think the Royal presentation package would waken the BBC up once again to the power of silent, graphics-based idents. Maybe seen as too mournful, only to be reserved for such occasions, but it would certainly make BBC One stand out from the rest.
