Speaking of the NFL, it seems like they're eyeing for ESPN, who are controlling NFL Media if the deal goes through:

In another acquisition news: Amazon is to be the minor investor of the failing Bally Sports, while Sinclair will settle its litigations for $495 million. Prime Video will be the former's streaming partner.

A number of things there. What seems to be suggested is that the NFL would sell NFL Media (ie NFL Network, Redzone and Films), which they have been trying without success to offload, to ESPN in return for a minority stake.
I don’t think it’s suggested the NFL would buy ESPN lock stock and barrel though. If it were I think there would have to be concerns on two fronts. One would be that the NFL would own a major player in terms of its own rights. Now the NFL’s rights are tied up for the next decade, so nothing would change there, and indeed they’ve already owned a chunk of their own rights in NFL Network and indeed have taken Thursday Night Football off it and left it with a handful of international and late season games (enough to keep the cable companies interested in carrying it but not enough to distort the huge market for its own rights). Still it’s the potential for what could happen in the longer term that could worry the networks.

Then there’s the notion to the other major leagues - the NBA, NHL, and MLB - would be happy with the NFL owing the biggest sports broadcaster in the US and the potential for what that could do for their own sports in terms of ESPN’s strategy going forward.

ESPN just aired an ad for the Masters golf, which is in April. You certainly can't accuse American broadcasters of not being keen to advertise their flagship sporting rights.

To me it’s mad that they’d do any pushing of that as flagship rights because they only have Thursday and Friday and it’s on during the day on a workday which isn’t exactly peak viewing. CBS have the more lucrative Saturday and Sunday rounds and so they’re effectively promoting someone else’s flagship.

I think ESPN+ carries coverage over all four days (i.e. the featured groups, Amen Corner etc.) and there's plenty of surrounding coverage onsite, like SportsCenter, on all week, but I agree its not really ESPN's event. The level of ESPN+ coverage on the weekend is the same as what they broadcast from the regular PGA Tour and they are happy enough to advertise that as well.

Fox's flagship sport promo during their NFL last night was a bit more understandable, advertising the Daytonna 500 which is in early February. Both ESPN and Fox were also trailing the upcoming UFL season, which I assume the NFL were happy enough for them to advertise a 'rival' competition; that is also quite a way off (starting 30th March).

Is there any reasoning why the NFL kick-off times change from 18:00/21:30/01:00 UK time to 20:00/23:30 UK time for the last three Sundays?

RE: American Sports Presentation - Rdd - 21-01-2024

Not sure of the full reasons (and why they are not even later to allow for a game fully in prime time) but as you alude to there are only two Sunday game windows in the divisional (QF) and conference championships (SF) rounds, so they are not trying to squeeze three consecutive games in. Also, because they are knockout fixtures, the games must be won on the night, so they do allow a bit more time between for the possibility of overtime.

Only the last two Sundays before the Super Bowl (Divisional and Conference finals) - as has been said, it gives one broadcaster a Sunday prime time game, with an hour afterwards to attract the large audience into staying watching for an entertainment show- hoping people will come back to watch that in the future. They do the same after the Super Bowl - although NBC took advantage of the time zone difference in 2022 to show live Winter Olympics coverage.
