The App was not available on Freesat and is definitely not there now.

From RXTV Info:
Quote:“Narrative Entertainment is excited to invite even more new viewers to enjoy our growing GREAT! Network with the addition of GREAT! Real, our first channel dedicated to non-scripted storytelling. With an array of observational series focusing on dramatic real-life events and human stories, GREAT! Real will take audiences to the heart of the action with an exciting, engaging and relatable content mix that perfectly complements our existing brands.”

As of right now, it's only confirmed to be launching on Sky and Freeview.

Sounds like Narritive Entertainment are using the bandwidth from Tiny Pop to launch Great! Real. Hmmm...

RE: Great! TV - Brekkie - 28-02-2024

So another example of targeted children's content of public service value being replaced by cheap factual non-descript content.

Definitely strikes me as odd. Is Tiny Pop really the least popular of their three kids channels? I'd have expected Pop Max to go first.

It's so stupid, indeed

Even POP would've been easier to axe than Tiny POP, given preschoolers watch more linear TV

RE: Great! TV - Brekkie - 28-02-2024

They are neck and neck now Pop Max has the same level of coverage, both the least watched of the Narrative portfolio.

In January they had a 0.07% share, Pop had 0.11% and the Great! channels had between 0.25% and 0.36%. So you get their logic in replacing the kids content for more adult content but surely even with the restrictions on kids ads you'd think with less and less channels they'd be more value in selling ads for kids content than yet another fairly generic adult focused channel.

Especially considering Pop Max has turned into a repeat channel of Pop unlike when it originally launched as Kix.

RE: Great! TV - JAS84 - 02-03-2024

Yeah. Kix used to show old Power Rangers seasons, which eventually led to Pop getting the new ones. Even had a pop-up channel Kix Power at one point which was nothing but PR (I think it temporarily replaced a +1 channel - that sort of thing would've been a FAST streaming channel nowadays). Those days are long gone and Kix is basically Pop 2 now, hence the Pop Max name change.

Viewership doesn't automatically convert in to revenue. Narrative will know precisely which channels are making them the most money.
