Is it C5's longest running programme?

Off the top of my head, The Gadget Show has run for a little bit longer, albeit through a frankly absurd amount of format changes and more recently name changes.

The continuing Wright Stuff/Jeremy Vine block could also count, depending on how you see it, as it's essentially the same show in the same slot but with a change of host and name.

Alex Polizzi can be hilariously brutal in her criticisms, but never really offensive. The programme subjects invite her to do the critique because they wanted help, not a hug. Tongue

Do you think they said it "just in case"? The programme will have been delivered with notes about any offensive content and a warning will be made for compliance reasons.

I hardly find it too surprising that they put out a warning. Channel 5 in particular seems to love warning viewers about even the smallest thing that could potentially cause offence, whether they're before the 9pm watershed or not. Some announcements (particularly on their sister channels) are just generic warnings.

Every episode of "Can't Pay..." and the likes give warnings for "heightened emotions" and "scenes of confrontations". I mean some of them are just silly at this point.

Saw a 5Star warning into Wentworth Prison warning for "water torture" which seems very specific when they could've said something more general.

That reminds me thank god ITV2 haven't gone for the integrated daily warnings that C5 gave Big Brother every day.

E4 does similar for Hollyoaks - means when episodes actually do contain something that really warrants attention that the warning counts for nothing. They also add them after the break which seems increasingly common across all broadcasters.

Understandable why with post watershed series that more often than not contain offensive language that it would be used as the standardised intro for all episodes.

I expect their OTT warnings are so that if ever they have to deal with any direct or Ofcom complaints they can easily say "well, we did warn them" rather than airing them out of genuine concern for viewer's feelings!
