The Disney trailer includes a few shots that aren't in the BBC one. And if you look really closely, you might see why...

(it's in an official trailer, albeit perhaps accidentally, so I feel comfortable sharing, but fair warning - possible spoiler for an unannounced cast member... if you squint)

Now I am not great at squinting, I can't see who it is that is there in the background, so why not say?

It is probably best not to actually reveal. But it is someone who has been confirmed for Series 14, but not the specials.

Here is the Disney+ trailer. As said above, a remix of the BBC one from a few weeks back. Interestingly enough, I think this is (one of ) the first time that Disney+ have covered the Tennant specials, most of their promo work has centred around Ncuti Gatwa; I can understnad this as Christmas will be a far better joining point for the completely new audience they will be hoping to attract.

I think I can make out Donna in the background, her hair simply stands out very easily

Mel, who has been confirmed for the next series but not the 60th specials.

It’s been known for a while, however, as the publicity shot used to announce Mel’s return was taken on an outdoor set used for the 60th (the UNIT helipad). That particular set had been spotted in aerial images of Bad Wolf’s outdoor studio lot around the time the 60th specials were filmed.
