Will Doctor Who be the Christmas Number One?

By the looks of it, Wilf returns very briefly, though Bernard does not.

So all three of them fleed to inside the TARDIS just after the credits rolled last week, and then appear in the scene below.

Indeed. The use of a double (and the reused audio) in the wheelchair was to be expected given Bernard never filmed in Bristol with Tennant, Tate and NPH

It is very sad how quickly Bernard's health deteriorated after his filming with David and Catherine.

Such a kind soul. When I watched the YouTube reaction videos to this episode, every single one jumped with joy and warmth and love to see Bernard return. Very emotional.

Curious.

It does back up that the preview scene is right from the start of the episode.
Not sure why the dirty version would be uploaded. I'm not getting the aspect ratio change though.

The original story involving this week's villain, The Celestial Toymaker, has been animated and will be available in physical media soon.

The animating doesn't quite work for me from this preview. The faces are not similar enough to those of the actual actors. The final episode of the serial has survived and is on iPlayer.

A little warning from RTD to try and watch tonight's special live because "big things" are happening, which will go online at 7:31 as soon as The Giggle finishes

I am not getting my hopes up, he didn't allow episode 2 to be previewed, and for what it was, apart from Wilf at the end, there was no need for the secrecy, which all led to rumour, speculation and some lies before it aired. So we just wait and see and hope this will be epic!

Will it outdo Power of the Doctor which had classic doctors in it?

RE: Doctor Who - UTVLifer - 09-12-2023

RTD did acknowledge last week on the new official podcast that the strategy to keep Wild Blue Yonder secret so that fans didn't know what to expect (which is fair enough, and frankly how things were for most of the Chibnall era) did have the adverse effect of increasingly speculation and fan expectations.

He also made some comments in the new edition of DWM that they'll be a "whole new Doctor Who mythology" in this episode, that'll he'll explain on the in-vision commentary version of The Giggle

Tonight I'm expecting it to be full-blown RTD finale chaos vibes - as in 1 hour we've got The Toymaker and his plot (feat. The creator of television John Logie Baird), probably a musical moment/dance from NPH, the return of UNIT in its new tower and Kate Stewart, another returnee who still hasn't been officially confirmed despite appearing in official marketing material, plus the Fourteenth Doctor's regeneration and Donna's final fate.

A lot to cram into 61 minutes - Chibnall had it rough trying to cram a lot into near 90 minutes for the Power of the Doctor
