Well why not reuse the same actor? The two projects were filmed back to back weren't they? As soon as RTD was done with Nolly he went to Bad Wolf and started back on Who.

I'm slightly missing the trailers at the end of the episodes. (I know BBC One are running trails, but I mean the teaser embedded into the episode itself.) I assume its absence is because Disney+ / streamers don't tend to do that sort of thing?

I was referring to previous articles on the matter e.g.

It was noticeable towards the end that a (female?) hand picked up The Toymaker's gold tooth, which apparently had contained The Master.

I wondered if the bi-generation was a way of preparing for this to occur in the future. Maybe in a future episode we might see The Master and Missy.

I would really like to see the return of Missy. Michelle Gomez is a wonderful character actress and her incarnation was written as the one that came closest to the Doctor as an ally.

I also think in return to RTD's previous Doctor Who stint, we may have already seen the seeds sowed for the next series finale being planted during these three episodes. If I recall The Meep mentioned something about "telling their boss" (or words to that effect). The Toymaker also made a reference to someone who he didn't play a game with, I think due to being scared by.

Having watched the episode I was left feeling a little short changed, yes it was good, but as others have said considering the toymaker was trailed as the big bad, I would have liked his downfall to be something riskier essentially he lost in a game of catch.

As far as the theory regarding the set up for the next series I think that is true with the big boss, it's clearly that is going to be a new bad wolf moment.
But in addition I am also wondering if the arc is going to cover the entirety of Ncuti's tenure ala Marvel with story arcs over multiple stories, series and films. It would not suprise me if the 14th and 15th doctor feature in the 15th doctors final episode.

Doctor Who pushing the definition of 'screwdriver' to its absolute limits.

And here's the Goblin Song, part of the Christmas Special. I'm not sure it will get much wider airing with those lyrics, but a fun romp with potential to be an earworm (I still have Spice Up Your Life stuck in my head though).

Apparently in the top 3 of the iTunes chart currently Big Grin

Yeah, it doesn't look great. Even Ncuti is comparing it to a Sky remote!

RE: Doctor Who - Alessi - 12-12-2023

The different take on the regeneration was a disappointment to me. I preferred the colder and often brutal drama the typical regeneration gave to the series.
