Worth noting that, as part of the launch of Last Call, and CNBC refocusing on business-centered programming, the network launched a new promotional campaign, with a new slogan: "Live Ambitiously".

The promos were filmed and produced by Miami-based 2C Media, under the direction of Chris Sloan (the same guy who maintains his archival YouTube channel featuring snippets of old TV newscasts and promos, as well as Sloan's old work when he creative directed for NBC, Discovery and Barry Diller's USA Broadcasting/WAMI). Their client list is very impressive, featuring practically most of the main networks.

Wonder if the outlined boxes are a sign of new things to come on the channel - it'd be interesting to see the financial indices etc scrolling through in it.

At least overlay the clock on the ticker at the far left. It's barely readable.

And there it is:

NewscastStudio has done a quite lengthy write-up of the new sets, which were designed by Jack Morton PDG. The sets have an unique DC flair while maintaining some of the current design language of the recent breed of O&O sets. It also confirms the former Meet the Press set is used for the new set, with the space being divided into four separate studios: one for WRC and another for WZDC, and two smaller multi-use spaces for digital-first content (one of which initially was to be used for NBC Sports Washington, but the acquisition by DC sports mogul Ted Leonsis led to the network moving to Bethesda, Maryland, rendering these plans moot).

Finally, the article also tells this is the first phase of the renovation, with a second phase involving a larger renovation of the former NBC News bureau newsroom ongoing, under the supervision of Gensler; the newsroom space will feature an updated open-space design and four new galleries, whilst the famous Correspondents' Row (where many of the most important NBC DC correspondents had its workspace) will be demolished to increase parking spaces at Nebraska Avenue. NBC is planning to rent the former WRC studio (Studio B) to third parties and the old WRC newsroom is being repurposed into sales and production offices.

Moving on to ABC, their Lexington, Kentucky affiliate KTVQ (Morris Multimedia) updated their symbol after the Oscars. Reviving the "On Your Side" branding from Media General era, it had been popping up in promos since last month, but now the news got updated with it:

The new ANF graphics seems to be popping up in their sports promo:

The ANF package also gels with their logo, on Live 5 in Charleston, it really jars.

Judging by their Youtube page, its sister stations are also rebranded with the new image as well:

And with KFYR (seen above), which has an Aero-typeface logo. Speaking of which... WBTV might be also the next to adopt a new logo, as a TVNewsTalk user found what they might debut when they get the new ANF graphics. This might also see the demise of the current logo, dated from the days it was locally owned by Jefferson-Pilot. Still, we need to see if this will be happening eventually:
