RE: American News Presentation - mouseboy33 - 20-09-2023

As far as I remember you are correct, the the Big Three stations didnt have the delay. But the smaller stations all were delayed. Not sure what other restrictions they placed on the Big Three during the delay period. But its all moot since they dropped it. I know it was hated by the affiliates. Especially since they'd have to get a workaround permission during breaking news to stream live. But that only damaged their credibility to be 1st to stream storm coverage and breaking news, etc. So people turned to other affiliates. Bone-headed move IMO. And it served no purpose.

Did I miss an announcement about Nexstar reversing the decision? I can't see anything obvious about it online.
WPIX did it in late July, I think, they launched a streaming TV app PIX11+ so they went back to being live.

It was WGN, KRON, and KTLA, because they have TV apps, and now PIX has joined in.

The rest of the Nexstar stations still seem to be on delay.

This is the new 7pm news on KTXA, completely dropping the standard O&O open and music:

The original article was a bit dramatic on the name change - The 11 symbol coexisted with the CBS Texas name for months and doesn't seem like going anywhere (so does KTXA's TXA 21 monikor, as seen in the opener).

KTRK has flipped to the new graphics. Unlike WLS and KFSN, their opener showcases bits around the station rather than local imagery:

Meanwhile, seems like WPVI has a new voiceover alongside an updated open with Fall scenery, replacing the incumbent Charles Van Dyke:

WTOC, Gray's CBS affiliate in Savannah, Georgia, has flipped to GrayOne with their existing symbol sticking out:

Meanwhile, WXMI in Grand Rapids (Fox/Scripps) has debuted a new set designed by JHD Group, who also done KTLA's new set.

Largely impressive with this set. Its an massive upgrade for a tiny market like Grand Rapids. BUT you can see where its been cheapened by the awful lighting design. Everything is flat looking on screen and the set is blasted with light and its a cool or cold colour so the anchors look dead and cadaver like. YOu can see the difference from the old lights that were removed. The colour temperature is vastly different from the ones installed. Yes the new lights are cheaper and give off less heat but they are awful looking in my opinion. They leave the talent looking terrible on camera and basically destroy the design of the set and washes out the large screens. What a sad result for an otherwise impressive set.

RE: American News Presentation - London Lite - 25-09-2023

Going by the KTXA bulletin delivery, it appears they want a more accessible style of delivery for the anchors and the format in comparison to the mainstream bulletins on the CBS station.

RE: American News Presentation - sky303 - 27-09-2023

20/20 on ABC has offically named Deborah Roberts as co-anchor of the programme, she was doing it after they let Amy Robach go, so it's now permeant. (Also, today I learned ABC NEWS PR has a tumblr page, they tweeted the link from their official PR Twitter)

Back to Nexstar (but staying on the topic of new sets), WXIN, Fox's affiliate in Indy, has gotten a new set; according to them, they wanted to take "inspiration from Monument Circle in the heart of downtown Indianapolis" with all the marble and steel in the set; however, the way they designed and installed the set just makes it (at first sight) look cheap and too cold, not helped by the lighting and the very low ceiling of their studio floor (located within the newsroom); at least, there's a splash of coloring when used on air and makes it somehow better.
