That is very nice looking - CNBC has looked horribly dated for ages. However as the article linked to alludes to, this is a channel whose core viewership watch at work and how these changes (particularly the one line ticker) go down with that cohort will be crucial.

I see the logo’s changing, for the first time since they adopted the NBC peacock back in the mid-1990s.

After watching the new CNBC, i like it. It still has a bit of flair the way the up/down indices change the entire box to red or green then fades to reveal the arrow of the same colour. And they didnt throw out the baby with the bathwater. (im looking at you SkyNews) Where there is breaking news or market updates. Its just flashy enough to get your attention. Because as the article mentions it might be watched at periods in offices with audio low or down. I also like the fact they reserve the right to change it going forward.

Nice update by CNBC!

During "Street Signs" the old graphics were on screen, they swapped during Worldwide Exchange.

The European programming still had the old graphics and ticker this morning.

The new graphics are nice, although the 2-line blue and white ticker was iconic, so dropping that is the end of an era.

Yesterday the old European ticker was still on during CNBC US simulcasts. Not watched today.

Staying on the peacock, WAFF in Huntsville (NBC) has switched to GrayOne.

Moving on to another network... WTVD in Durham, NC has flipped to the new ABC O&O graphics.

Earlier, KFSN in Fresno has fully switched to the new package too.

This coincided with them moving away from their longtime Gateway Tower studio to the suburbs, having a new set as a result. In their own words:

And the making-of:

this is the 2nd Gray station that has taken this First Alert branding. Im sorry this is one of the stupidest moves ive seen in a while and i dont think it will catch on at all.

I might be in the minority here on the CNBC graphics, at least on some elements. Getting rid of the two tickers removes their uniqueness , Fox Business Network has the same concept in reverse, there's a one line scrolling ticker then on top is the indices. Where is the Fox Business logo? On the left, always has been, and in a white box too. Having the clock flip with something, in FBN's case the Live big, CNBC the show logo flips to the clock.

Fox business example

The explanation that people read left to right is why the logo moved was funny to me, I'm sure the long time CNBC viewers knew they were watching CNBC , already. It's not easily confused with Bloomberg or Fox Business. (Bloomberg is very easy to tell)

They should make some tweaks to some things because sometimes it gets unreadable by the color contrast.

I do like the show graphics, they looked good for Last Call, so the rest of the network getting that was good, and the lower 3rds for the show name and etc. are nice.

They still the old look for "Street Signs" That show is produced by CNBC Europe , correct?

I don't think the old ones were bad, minus that weird logo stack they did, but it least provided data the viewer would need and want, but not excessive like Bloomberg.

If you mean the 9amUK/4amET edition of Street Signs, then yes that comes from London. Have CNBC/US started airing it again? I think they dropped it when 'The News with Shephard Smith' started so they could air a repeat of that instead?

There is also an Asian edition of Street Signs from Singapore

That's the one I meant, yes CNBC went back to airing it again after Shep was removed.
