Is World coming from E or C this hour?

World at 1pm was in E with Samantha Simmonds.

Nice to see News at One coming full regalia, with updated 6/10-style Reith titles and even bespoke hashtag when showing reporters' names. This suggests it might not be a one-off due to problems with C, but a more permanent solution. However, BBC London still came from D, thus a non-regional version of BBC One carried not London headlines, like in 6/10, but Sport headlines for News Channel.

After BBC Sport update, Reeta continued with "Across the UK" again from B. Is it the first time that Studio B has been used outside of bulletins, Laura K and special programming? The end-of-the-hour weather bulletin, however, unlike the end-of-the-bulletin one, still came from a cupboard, not from B,

Yes, I believe so!

The weather just before 2pm didn’t come from in the studio in E either, so no change there.

It was in-studio for the One itself, of course.

Today's edition of HARDtalk features Studio D with two couches:

The couches looks similar to the VD ones back in the good ol' TV Forum days:

IMO the table is too high for the couch... I'm not sure if it'll work if Breakfast is decamped to this studio with red couches~

I'm not sure they're the same sofa, the structure of the cushioning is entirely different and the base is different too.

It’s not HARD talk if it’s on a sofa. Just saying.

Seems like Studio C is really broken, tonight's OS is replaced by a generic bulletin from E instead:

IMO the generic bulletins look better than modern-day OS... at least it has various camera shots and catwalk presentation while OS is just a news programme from a locked-on balcony camera shot... They can easily decamp OS to any clip studio and slap this background on the green screen:

Being forced to sit on any BBC News sofa is an internationally recognised form of torture.
There's literally nothing soft about them!  Big Grin

Or it has been purposefully closed to prepare it for the April launch of the properly merged channel.

Also, can't see why OS can come from C with fake newsroom background, but could not come from E with the real one. Might be also done on purpose.

Waiting to see what they will make of The Context - they use a London backdrop.
