Is she presenting the news or getting ready for a carnival?  Big Grin And if we're going to be treated to studio C, can we pretty please have that skyline back? Looks MUCH nicer than the newsroom backdrop.

Oh come on, it's tres chic. Big Grin

It is chic. All she needs are a couple of glow sticks and she can rave out to the beeps at the end.  Cool

Might be slightly off topic, but when was Talking Business presented from B after its refit? Since COVID it was always from C (or sometimes E), with the presenter on the catwalk at the three screens. All the latest editions on iPlayer are done at those three screens as well, no Studio B.

Also, did Stephen Sackur totally devote himself to HardTalk and nothing else TV-wise? Haven't seen him presenting live bulletins for a good while.

I've seen him do his usual Friday shift pretty much up until this interim month started. I hope he continues on the new channel, it makes Friday a bit special and he is a great broadcaster of course.

Since Covid, I don’t believe Talking Business comes from either of C or E. I understood it to be a pocket CSO studio, using the C/E catwalk backdrops.

If it were the actual C or E catwalks, I’d imagine the framing of the shot would be better, as opposed to the appearance now.

RE: BBC News Pres: Nostalgia - Deejay - 03-04-2023

Talking Business is now a weekly programme, with links recorded single camera in Green Screen Studio F. It has not come from B since pre-Covid.

I remember those days oh great days they were coming from Studio B now it’s all downgraded and rubbish.

Do you remember when Channel 5 launched and there was a load of hype about how revolutionary it was that Kirsty Young would present perched on a desk in the newsroom? Kenneth Kendall might disagree

I like how you can make out a spiral staircase behind the window – very NBH. Smile

I hadn't seen this before. A pre-launch tease of the virtual era back in March 1993 from Tomorrow's World. Similar to the oft posted How Do They Do That? clip from a few years later though.

From Kaleidoscope: An audio recording of BBC's special report on JFK's assassination, 1963. (Also contains some programmes, ads, ITN News and a Kennedy retrospective from Rediffusion!)
