New ITN Branding - ACTV - 30-11-2022

The new look ITN is now up on the website.

My verdict is that it's fine but I suspect it'll be a grower. I did like the animation of it on the website.

Seeing the plain white version on the website, the slightly off-circular / very rounded diamond shape almost looks like a mistake.

Would be nice to see it in use again on screen. The ITV News brand lacks the authority ITN used to have.

It can see what they're trying to do with the animated logo on their website, but my first thought on seeing it this morning was that I'd mixed up my meds.

On production end caps, in print, favicons and apps it's going to be static. It will just look as if someone couldn't find something circular to draw around, so did their best to produce one by hand.

You'll be able to see it at the end of Channel 4 News and 5 News...
