RE: International Presentation - JAS84 - 23-07-2023

That's dumb. Super is always a prefix, not a suffix. Would anyone refer to superheroes as Hero Supers? No. There's many Super Nintendo games with Super at the start of the title. There's none that have the word Super at the end. It just doesn't sound right. They should've renamed the channel completely.

It would work like "Directors General" - they would be Heroes Super.

The more important question is why there are no superb heroes?

An update: A new symbol was submitted to the Korean trademark offices in early July. The globe symbol was more rounded and angled, while the wordmark was changed to a san-serif, akin to what PBS had done a few years back:

From what I gathered, it's not announced publicly yet, so there might be some changes when it's official. Logopedia also has a full-coloured one with light and purplish blue, but I couldn't find it on the application.

In Taiwan, PTS+, the public broadcaster's streaming service, rebranded with a new P symbol inspired by blocks and a redesigned Chinese wordmark:

Perhaps the new wordmark would be a hint of what's new?

A nice little update to the KBS globe logo. Can't wait to see how it looks across all of KBS soon.

Thanks to @Edogawa Ranpo for the heads up - Dutch children's channel NPO Zapp had a new graphics package and an updated wordmark:

Around Europe, Μακεδονία TV, ANT1's sister station, renamed themselves to MAK TV on screen with a connected wordmark:

Over in Chile, public broadcaster TVN launched TVN3, a FAST channel showcasing classic programmes, a few days ago. This is the start of the channel:

Quite a weird spot to place their DOG on. Also strechyvision?

And in Taiwan, Hakka TV, the public broadcasting station in Hakka language, debuted a new graphics package to coincide its 20th birthday, based on the local soundscape and items:

The station initially operated independent of the TBS system (the overarching body that governs public broadcaster PTS and former state broadcaster CTS), but was later commissioned to PTS administration until June this year, when the public broadcasting laws was amended to officially include it as part of the former.

Brazilian state/public broadcaster EBC rebranded themselves today, dropping the Bolsonaro-era green and yellow for an encircled outline of the continent - a more visible step in reverting to their inaugural vision of shaping after respected public broadcasters worldwide, instead of a medium for propaganda.

As part of the EBC, TV Brasil changed their look as well:
https://youtu.be/IoW454uzjNk

At the administration level, meanwhile, it was more felt at their sister channel, TV Brasil 2. The channel was a result of the merger between EBC and NBR in 2019, the latter was a brodcaster dedicated to government communications. Taking NBR's former air space, TV Brasil 2 shared most of the programming with the main channel, which was interrupted almost daily by the president's whereabouts. This blurred the lines between TV Brasil's inaugural vision of independent, public broadcasting, with potential propagandist effect from the telecasts.

Under the new government, the channel started to undo the Bolsonaro influences. The daily interruption would only appear if Lula was present, then journalistic programmes were excluded from it starting in May, before dropping the entire practice altogether in June.

As with many public broadcasters worldwide, however, budget and manpower constraints prevented TV Brasil to change radically at once. A de-merge of the two channels on screen was planned alongside the end of the interruptions in May, but it was delayed until last week (24/7), when TV Brasil 2 was renamed Canal Gov, with a completely different image from the main channel and EBC:

And breathe. Hope I'm not boring everyone with all the text! Most of them came from this Piaui article (https://piaui.folha.uol.com.br/menos-lula-na-tv-brasil/ ), which also detailed the management challenges and job cuts in between, and it seems like this is far from the final step in the reformation...

This is, as you said, a far-reaching thing. Not only the two channels were separated, but far-reaching programming changes are being made:

Over at TV Brasil, its focus on cultural and educational programming is gradually returning, and many propagandistic shows are being repurposed and some are being even dropped: for example, Sem Censura, a longtime interview-led afternoon show dating back to the TVE Brasil era, was used during the Bolsonaro regime as a propaganda mouthpiece; it is now returning to its historically service-oriented purpose and its fixed schedule on weekdays; it will also see the return of former Globo actress and presenter Cissa Guimarães to TV; and in March, the military reality documentary Soldados de Caxias was dropped, reportedly due to its Bolsonaro-heavy overtones; the Army appealed to EBC to demand its restoration.

During the Bolsonaro era, prime time was filled by rebroadcasts of RecordTV biblical telenovelas; the last one, A Terra Prometida, aired up until February due to its high ratings in comparison with the rest of the channel's schedule, and was followed by a second presentation of the ground breaking Band historical drama Os Imigrantes (which had aired in the network during the previous year). The new administration wants to retain a daily telenovela slot due to the genre being "an audience guarantee", and Os Imigrantes still having decent viewer figures, with the network airing the series until it concludes in November. The lack of budget doesn't allow for producing telenovelas on its own, leading to plans being not yet finalized. Additionally, the kids' programming (the channel's other most successful genre, which was reorganized during the latter Temer years into its own block, TV Brasil Animada) is being retained.

As for news programming, Canal Gov is going for a information-led format similar to that of NBR, with collaboration with Rádio Nacional: Canal Gov will air live and with webcams all of the radio network's Government-focused programming (including, but not limited to, Bom Dia Ministro, Conversa com o Presidente, Brasil em Dia and the nationally-aired programme A Voz do Brasil). A new TV-specific newscast with an exclusively Government-led agenda is being also prepared, with an analysis-led format. The network will also air also all Government-related events in an exclusive basis.

Over at TV Brasil, its news broadcast Repórter Brasil is being reduced in time: the morning and afternoon editions are being axed in favor of a single 90-minute evening broadcast airing from Monday to Saturday; the change has not been welcomed by EBC's journalists given the reduced duration will give more space to possible "government broadcasts". Additionally, a Press Preview and a fake news watch programme are under preparation.

Here's a look at Canal Gov's schedule:

TV4 (Czwórka) and TV6 (Szóstka) have rebranded today and have lost their own identity. Their own numeral logos and its branding elements have been put in line with the rest of Polsat's channels.
