SyFy in Latin America has relaunched to USA Network, reviving an old name that's currently Universal TV:

After 22 years of service (or decades if you count its predecessors), Bell Media's teen French channel Vrak has closed down. Its original owner, cable TV company Vidéotron, previously pulled the channel in August and became the channel's last straw.

And I don't know if anyone here knows, but it seems like recently Warner Bros Discovery's Nordic channels have been given a new unified look, scrapping their unique idents and branding for more basic live action idents and the same branding style as WBD's channels in the rest of Europe. Not too sure if their channels in Norway and Finland have succumbed to this brand unification but here's some from Sweden and Denmark.

Yes, Scandinavian channels, particularly Nordic ones, are getting more and more boring, which is ironic, with more technology being available.

I knew Discovery channels had long ad breaks (with the EU revisions even more), but 9 mins ad breaks are excessive, even for Italy (here tends to be max 5-6, 7 stretching it, mostly during movies)

The problem with the new TV4 look is the way they have embraced their brand unification since 2016, by focusing on the "core" network brands (TV4, Sjuan, TV12) and the TV4 Play streamer. The last C More look was also a clear sign of that need by TV4 to focus on their core brands. They are trying to do a "BBC Anything"-like scenario, but this is not working as expected. But the brand track of the rebrand is really superb.

Back to MTV Finland, turns out their streaming service, MTV Katsomo, has integrated the C More cable packages back in September. Their symbol got a gradient facelift as a result.

MTV Viihde and Aitio weren't the last C More channels to be rebranded - now Max, Juniori and their Sport channels are joining the queue, in addition to an array of new channels dedicated to Finnish ice hockey league. I'd expect they'll look all the same on screen as the two channels.

Nickelodeon LATAM (including Brazil) has switched to the global feed (sort of: parts of the schedule remain locally programmed and local content ratings remain on the Brazilian feed, as well as local voice credits across the region, though original credits have been cut altogether)

All Paramount networks in LATAM (and probably all their non-US pay-TV networks) are switching to a global feed strategy, with the local units influencing about 20% of the schedules.
Nickelodeon (except in Mexico, for now) and Nick Jr. already switched, and here are scheduled dates for the switches on the remaining channels:
- Comedy Central: November 14th
- MTV: December 12th
- Paramount Network and Nickelodeon Mexico: February 20th, 2024
