RE: International Presentation - W. Knight - 28-11-2022

TVN in Panama had a new graphics package and image campaign earlier this month, featuring flat shades and gradient backgrounds all around:

In comparison, this was their prior package from 2016, when they refreshed their symbol:

Finland’s MTV has relaunched its entire channel portfolio today, which also includes a renaming of digital channels Sub and Ava to MTV Sub and MTV Ava. The rebrand is also designed to make MTV closer to its Swedish sister network TV4 (which are owned by Swedish telco Telia, which also operates in both countries). The C More channels are unaffected.

NBC is making its first significant change to the peacock since 1986. The new design, being implemented currently in stages and fully by next year, retains the well known design by Steff Geissbuhler (for Chermayeff & Geismar), but it has been redrawn to make it cleaner and to make it work in smaller sizes; additionally, the feather colors have been made brighter to match those used by Peacock. An exclusive report by NewscastStudio has confirmed the rebrand involved a still unnamed agency under the in-house supervision of NBCUniversal, and its use will be expanded to NBC News, NBC Sports, MSNBC and CNBC.

In commemoration of this, here's a video showcasing the long history of NBC's logos and peacocks used since 1926:

And I just bought a fridge magnet with the old logo from the NBC store in the Rockefeller Center last month!

I did look at one of those too! And a mug... but wasn't sure that would make it through airline baggage handling intact Tongue

RE: International Presentation - Rdd - 08-12-2022

The flattened peacock’s been used on Sunday Night Football since the start of this season (along with sometimes a version of the NBC Sports logo that just had the peacock and “Sports”), so I had wondered if a more general rebrand was on the way.
