Stephen Boss, also known as Ellen De Generes's official DJ 'Twitch', has died from suicide aged 40.

His wife Alison Holker Boss confirmed the news to People Magazine earlier tonight.

"From suicide"? That seems to imply you can catch suicide as a disease or something and it takes you a period of time later.
I think the term you want is "by suicide", not "from", as (not to put too fine a point on it) it is self-inflicted.
