The issue I think they will have is that there wasn't any notification of the closure on any channel other than BBC1. I wonder if there are any SD viewers, or organisations who use the SD versions of the other channels and haven't changed. Is there a service station somewhere showing the caption rather than the News Channel in their food court? :-D

Without going into too much detail, I am aware that this has already affected one organisation - one that shouldn't really have been affected either!

Could you give some more details?

RE: BBC One Nightlight - Jimbo2022 - 25-01-2024

Hi

Just to let you know BBC3 in SD on nightlight mux is no longer on separate sub region bouquets in England. Only now as non-regionalised in England.

RE: BBC One Nightlight - Jimbo2022 - 26-01-2024

Quick update

BBC alba on SID 6446 on nightlight nux was removed from sky EPG yesterday

It was thus one that carried English audio separately. The HD equivalent, which has had no audio at all for sone weeks, was also removed from EPG. Neither had a channel number

Both SIDs are still active but not on EPG any more

RE: BBC One Nightlight - Nick Harvey - 29-01-2024

All the BBC SD channels in the 800s, the 600s and 971 have been removed from the EPG on Sky Q and HD boxes this morning. They remain until sometime in March on older boxes.

The Sky Go app now has BBC One HD and Two HD listed on 101 and 102 respectively, even when you’re not connected to the same network as your Sky box, although ITV1, C4 and C5 SD services remain on 103-105.

UPDATE

From today if you call 0330 123 1876 you get an automated message where you can leave a message and someone will call you back within 5 working days.

The phone number no longer appears on screen at all, not even the Sky numbers. The AD message has also changed omitting the phone numbers.

This is the 9th different version if the closure slate. I do not see how they can keep this running for a further 6 or 7 weeks

A quick update.

BBC have now updated their reception advice page to say that the help scheme is to close on Friday 16 February. After this time, no further help will be available via the scheme.

Exactly when transmissions will actually finish is as yet unknown.
