Just as he said before he went on holiday.  Just shows how thick the Twitterati is!

GBN launched too late in simple terms. Its founders believed that the UK would become as polarised as the US or as Australia used to be prior to the last election. The opposite has been happening. An ever growing majority is firmly moving to the left to once again sit in the centre.

Not sure I agree with this. It’s fair to say there’s a pretty big anti-Tory sentiment at the moment, but that’s more down to the current and most recent governments and leaders rather than any shift in public opinion towards the left.

If you look at different polls such as priorities for the public among others then the picture becomes very clear. “Wokeness”, trans issues etc. barely register. Even immigration is usually 20-30% behind the top issues.
In addition the anti-Brexit sentiment gets bigger and bigger.

And Calvin Robinson made a substack post entitled 'Why Enoch Was Right'.

I imagine it's busy in GB News HR right now.
Sorting out the bonuses probably.

The sad thing is the 'extreme right' has now become the mainstream right, even mainstream centre.

It's not about left and right though - it's about right and wrong, and call me a leftie woke snowflake but I prefer a world where racism, homophones, trabsphobia, bigotry and bullying are considered wrong rather than an alternative point of view.

Latest ratings. Apparently the audience isn't growing!

June 2023 reach 3.347m average daily viewing 1m 0s.

June 2022 2.122m, average daily viewing 0m 33s.

As we're a bright lot here (unlike DS and Twitter), we know that the average daily viewing is across everyone who watched TV and not just GB News' viewers!!

Sky News' average daily viewing for those two months is 1m 35s down to 1m 21s.

That gap is closing rapidly.

RE: GB News - Gibsy - 14-07-2023

Any idea what Sky News reach is?

We are a very bright lot here and therefore know about  the changes BARB made to how broadband only households are measured on 28 July 2022.

Let’s talk again in September when we can compare August figures, in other words like for like.

Or we could just look where GBN was last September which shows the same amount of reach but its viewers spending slightly less time watching.

Much higher (9.723m down to 9.323m for those two months) but its viewers aren't watching for nearly as long.

GB News and Sky News' monthly share figures for June are 0.71% and 0.96%.

A year ago they were 0.38% and 0.95%
