Personally I think they should replace To The Point with a programme more focussed on rolling news. Give it to one of the newsreaders like Polly Middlehurst or even give to Rosie Wright.

It worked when it was Christys and Muroki, but it has been weak since.

Nobody obvious springs to mind either.

Andrew Pierce said his show would be starting next week, so I assume it could replace it.

Doesn't look like it. The guide next week just has 'To The Point' listed but the week after has a new show called 'Bev Turner Today', presumably hosted by Bev Turner.

Do you have a link to that guide please?

I can see it on my Virgin Media EPG.

I use the Virgin Media online guide as it usually goes furthest in time. Should come up with a Google search.

Christ on a bike… I have nothing good to say about this development. So I shall say nothing at all.

From Popbitch:

>> Grimes up <<
Cleesing into position

Sounds like Darren Grimes' luck at GB News has finally run out. After managing to pull off a Lazarus-style revival a few weeks back – relaunching himself when everyone thought he had been let go - his show is now being eased onto the off-ramp.

It's nothing to do with complaints about his workplace conduct; it's because of his viewer numbers.

Plus, bosses needed to free up some space on the schedule for John Cleese starting in the new year.

RE: GB News - TMD_24 - 04-11-2022

There's a few changes starting from tomorrow actually:

Andrew Pierce starts his new show every Friday from 12pm-3pm.
Mark Dolan is now on Saturday from 8pm-11pm and it becomes Mark Dolan's Saturday Night In.
The Political Correction seems to be back on Sunday, I thought that was axed?
Bev Turner Today is the new replacement for To The Point.
On the GB News website, GB News Live has simply become Patrick Christys from next week?

RE: GB News - KrazyKei - 04-11-2022

As much as I like Bev Turner, her show should be for the evening with Dan Wootton's show reduced to one hour. Mark Dolan is having too long on Saturdays. Andrew Pierce would be good for winding down for the weekend and not Fridays. Has Portillo been axed?

I'm becoming more convinced that between the hours of 9-6 Monday to Sunday, GB News should provide a rolling news service. It doesn't need opinion shows throughout the day but instead use them for the evenings whilst keeping to the centre-right messaging.

I appreciate that not everyone will agree with me but the majority of people still work 9-5 and will no doubt rather listen to music on their radios rather than wind themselves up listening to opinion about the world we live in.
