RE: GB News - derek500 - 15-10-2023

As well as Paul Hawkins (who appears to have left GB News) and Cameron Walker their Royal Correspondent, Mark White has also reported from overseas. He was recently on the Italian island of Lampedusa for a few days covering the migrant boat crisis.

Even by GB News standards this is an odd one

Was Gus Honeybun reporting?

RE: GB News - leewilliams - 19-10-2023

The persistent rumours that Julia Hartley-Brewer will take over the reigns of GB News evenings continue, courtesy of Popbitch this time:
Quote:Who says throwing a tantrum doesn't get results? Back in May we told you that Julia Hartley-Brewer had stormed out of TalkTV’s first birthday drinks - setting up her own splinter drinks event in a nearby pub in retaliation – after being snubbed in the company's "Greatest Hits" reel in favour of all the primetime stars (none of whom had actually deigned to show up at the party).

Well, that tantrum made sure it won't happen again. Because Julia's just been offered a primetime slot of her own – on roughly twice the money.

Given the extremely serious nature of that meeting, and what's going in that part of the World right now, that's highly inappropriate!
Even a channel like GB News should know better. I guess that might even result in yet another Ofcom investigation against GBN!

RE: GB News - Brekkie - 19-10-2023

Really lacking in taste and appropriateness, and the sort of thing they'd go in hard on if the lijes of This Morning did it, but I doubt it's a breech of the broadcast code.

They'd just say it was put on by mistake anyway, which I suspect it was. Maybe I'm being naive but I'm assuming it wasn't on screen long, especially as it's a screenshot rather than video doing the rounds.

I hardly think a slip-up with the straps would result in an OFCOM investigation.

RE: GB News - PERMOTIO - 20-10-2023

Anne Diamond presenting GB News Breakfast on her own - a first for the channel, I think!

I’m still wondering where Mike Graham keeps going? Every time I listen it’s Kevin.

RE: GB News - Keith - 27-10-2023

Looks like the chequebook has been reached for again at GB News, with the announcement of Boris Johnson to host a programme on the channel. Certainly a big signing for the news channel, presumably with the hope of drawing in a greater audience.

Wonder if potentially Farage & Boris will do an occasional double-act programme.
