Some bits of GB News news.

Nigel Farage’s caption reads ‘GB News Host and Politician’ on the promotions for I’m A Celeb. Presumably that’s part of the deal.

Ben Leo is apparently going to be in Australia reporting on Farage in the jungle, for the channel. So presumably he’ll be doorstepping Ant & Dec’s hotel room if Farage has to do too many bush tucker trials.

And Michael Crick is still appearing on the channel as a panellist on Jacob Rees-Mogg’s state of the nation yesterday.

In actual presentation news, Press Gazette reports on GB News' paid membership, and includes the fact the news Tom Harwood and Emily Carvers afternoon show will come from the new GB News Westminster studio.

Wonder what that's gonna look like as their new creative director Erron Gordon wouldn't have started yet

Can't find now, but think I read elsewhere that the new studio will launch in December, so they will have a few weeks in Paddington studios.

The one thing GBN did was create (eventually) a more human scale, relatable aesthetic with its more organic music (that a real band could play) and office scale sets. It wasn't high end, could have been alot better, but it had a 'vibe' that worked. Motion graphics were interesting, and didn't look like everything else on the market. Lower thirds were always shoddy.

Cautious this is pre launch, and what airs might be better, but this is a presentation forum after all.

If this promo look translates into TX then it'll be a huge step backwards. Vertical wiping colour bars - just like Sky, BBC, GMB etc -Really? Poor design of the nameplate, with dated and pointless white shading to create a faux box. The GB flag elements reduced to a red triange: its a box of Shreddies cereal on the telly. Perhaps the website team.can do a story that GBN, Britains news channel cancels Britain's Flag, just for the clickbait.

Cheesy tribal drumming to excess on the theme? Wow, it's like AI generated music, If that AI was taught exclusively on the back catalogue of Sitting Duck Music's work for every dreary minority sports federation that's commissioned an "inspiring, energetic, passionate " theme. Themes that will get muted by every 60+ viewer aren't a great move when your viewers are mainly Grans and Grandpas.

All it needs is a studio set with LED walls showing a London skyline panoramic and an ugly perspex desk. Maybe a vertical monitor with the GBN mobile app output, hey maybe build that titles out of the app to show a unified media business or whatever buzzword is in play today.

Clinical, Cold, Cliche.

Ive always like the broken/distorted union flag graphics design on launch, some treatments to it were not great, others were quite good. The generic one and the orange Breakfast varient are the best for me. Dewbs version is also good. its the subtle movements in it that i like and I do sort of think its a shame they started adding in other blander gfx packages as they launched and relaunched shows every other week.

I also thing the GBN animation for the top of the hour news is great, the whole look should be an evolution, built upon that broken flag element. So much more could be doen creativly with that.

I also like the montion on the N part of the logo, a montion design that could also be used in few more places, for example to wipe on and off the poll and coming up next box.

this new look trailer is pretty meh, and with Tom presenting thats 3 hours to skip.

My views are the complete opposite of yours. I'm rather keen on what we've seen of the Good Afternoon Britain branding so far.

The whole package has a much more professional feel to it, and is probably the smartest graphics we've seen from GB News to date.

The channel has come a long way from the left-aligned gradient boxes with the programme title in Montserrat that we saw at launch. Some programmes still carry that style of graphics, but it's rather cheap and tacky.

The new graphics and music are far more premium looking, to the point that I think Erron MUST be involved at this point.
