RE: GB News - London Lite - 06-03-2023

I'd like to see what they actually feature on this strand, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the following.

Grooming gangs in northern England.
Immigration issues at the English Channel.
Something to do with trans/drag.
Covid/vaccines.

They’ve already done a programme about grooming gangs.

Looks like Bev Turner Today has been replaced by its predecessor, To The Point, back to a two-headed show with Andrew Pierce.

Also looks like Tom Hardwood's show has been cancelled.

Breakfast now runs to 9.30, followed by To The Point.

I do wonder what was the longest period this channel did not change its schedule around.

RE: GB News - Stockland Hillman - 06-03-2023

Interesting that Ofcom have chosen to give so much context on the press release:

"This is the first breach of our broadcasting rules recorded against GB News since it launched in June 2021. Complaints received about the channel to date total 3,432, representing 3% of all broadcast complaints made to us during this period. Of these 1,665 related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

After careful assessment, the vast majority of complaints made against GB News have not been pursued. Aside from today’s decision, our earlier investigation into Talking Pints with Nigel Farage (23 August 2021) - relating to offensive language – concluded that the programme was not in breach of our rules. An additional investigation into an episode of Mark Steyn, which aired on 4 October 2022, remains ongoing."

Bev Turner Today didn’t last long at all, I do wonder what is the point of changing all these programmes which are essentially the same thing with different presenters? So they have replaced Bev Turner Today with essentially the same thing co hosted by Andrew Pierce.

Surprised they’re recycling that brand. But other than that a move that seems to make sense.
