TalkTV are reporting on GB News, but they've got the reason of the Ofcom breach completely wrong. Poor journalism.

Never use the word journalism when talking about GB News or Talk TV

Lee Anderson is now in talks for a weekly Friday show. PoliticsHome is also reporting the same and the show will go out at 7pm Fridays but will be pre-recorded on the Thursday.

RE: GB News - Newshound47 - 07-03-2023

That’s a bit more interesting being he is a Conservative Party deputy chairman (And has appeared regularly in the media in that role.) so not just a backbench MP.

Now confirmed, as is the news that Nigel Nelson is joining the channel as Senior Political Commentator.

Just checked today, and they have this weather prediction about the polar vortex.

This is pure scaremongering (something GB News accuses BBC, ITV and Sky of during the pandemic) and has a very Daily Mail and Daily Express type of scare story about the weather.

When you check the Met Office website, we have two yellow warnings for snow and ice in Scotland, and nothing else for the rest of this week. Also reading the official Met Office long range forecast, it has no sign of any warning of massive weather changes.

What is GB News up to?

As it's turned out, pretty accurate.   Cold February, snow early March.  Spot on.

Actually the Nigel Nelson part of the story is the most interesting

He days in the piece "As Labour looks likely to win the next election, and I’ve spent my career with a Labour-supporting newspaper, the perspective of anyone from the Left will be critical to any conversation about politics.”

Definitely a serious bit of recruitment

Cold February, snow early March would be accurate.

But that's not usually the way that GB News frames it.

"Snow bomb to smash Britain as bone-chilling icy blast hits today"

So basically, as the other poster mentioned, The Daily Express on TV.
