Quite right.

I'm still amazed that anyone would take it seriously. It'd make some Russian channels blush with its flirtation with the current government, and then damn right embarrassed with its appearance. I appreciate they were going for cheap and cheerful to begin with, but now how ever many months into this Fox News-esk experiment it still resembles the look of a PowerPoint template. Set wise, it's dire (what ever did happen to that supposed refresh?).

Interesting article about GBN in tomorrow's Observer:

I am confused by the interview that GB News has with the Chancellor tomorrow:

Surely doing this immediately before a budget crosses the lines into news programmes which MPs aren't allowed to present under OFCOM rules? If this isn't, at what point does something actually become news?

I mean, even if it doesn't breach any OFCOM rules, surely in an interest of credibility, they could choose anyone other than sitting MPs from the same party as the Chancellor. It's not like there are a shortage of political correspondents or even other presenters who could front the interview.

Should've been Gloria de Piero doing the interview really.

Don't think I've seen this video wall before:

That's the one behind the desk where Farage used to come from.

They've used it like that when Liam Halligan presented some budget coverage last year.

Right, that makes sense. (I'm not a regular watcher of GB News, as I'm sure most here know!)

RE: GB News - Alf Stewart - 11-03-2023

Does Patrick thingy just present everything on GB News? He always seems to be on. Must be cheap.

RE: GB News - AllanTheScot - 12-03-2023

Wasn't the idea for launch to use that part of the studio to do standing up presentation using that screen?

If I remember rightly it didn't turn up in time for the launch do it didn't happen.
