Been pushed off the headlines because of Shane McGowan and Alastair Darling, people seem to be dropping like flies right now.
Yeah. I'm currently seeing four death notices on the BBC News website - the fourth one is an American politician.

Henry Kissinger, a major diplomat in the 60's and 70's.

I find it interesting nobody ever seems to remember Eddie Banks even though it was him and Jimmy who dug up Trevor Jordache's body, and it must be the most repeated clip from the show's history (doubtless being shown again today). Shows how being in a show's most iconic moment doesn't automatically mean your character is remembered!

Admittedly, I'm not sure he did much else of note during his time on the show. I mostly remember him for running through a casino shouting and trying (and failing) to stop Rosie putting all their money on a roulette wheel. Then the next episode opening with Eddie throwing a radio through their window. He used to go on about winning the speedboat on Bullseye a lot as well and I remember an episode where his video of it got chewed up when showing it off to people. I watched Brookie pretty religiously in the 1995-97 era, even though I was probably far too young to understand a lot of it (which will make it interesting to see again with adult eyes, though STV are years away from it).

The last of last week's episodes has a weird mismatching credit added on to the front of the sequence. It doesn't even seem to be the right font used.

The voice (added over the track we've already heard many times) on Annabelle's "exercise tape" is rather familiar...

Looks like we're getting an extra 10 "iconic" episodes dropping at new year

Well that just confuses things if they're dropping in future episodes.

There's also the question of which episodes they'll be, hopefully not the same ones that have been on Channel 4 on demand for the last 16-odd years.

Further evidence that STV are happy with how the series is doing, if nothing else. The pace we're advancing through is quite nice at the moment, 2.5 years worth of it inside a year, but I would love it if we could have just 1 extra episode a week.

Uploading classic episodes throughout the years would indicate to me that the weekly upload will stop at some point next year.
