So glad I Iong turned these off. Suspect they're pushing out more on this situation than when a politician is hit by a scandal - or indeed in relation to the UN, international organisations and charities commenting on the policy this week.

Final Score has been replaced by an episode of The Repair Shop

To be fair, this has become one of those situations whereby every new development is advancing the story (and therefore probably warrant a notification). For example, the Sky News & Sports apps have sent a number of notifications this morning in relation to FF & FS not going ahead.

Wonder if Jay and the team can have a crack at fixing the BBC?

RE: Gary Lineker/BBC Asylum Controversy - CF1 - 11-03-2023

How much longer can the intransigent Tim Davie and BBC management hold the line that "The BBC is bigger than any one presenter?" because they've now put themselves - completely of their own making - into a situation where BBC Sport has been brought to its knees?

If Lineker was to resign in the next 24 hours, it doesn't even bear thinking about how many of his on and off screen colleagues will also resign. Not to mention the damage this could do to future sports rights.

The irony of this is the smug, smirking Tim Davie isn't even in the UK but watching the BBC fall apart from afar.

ITV had a results programme more recently than that. When they were airing The Premiership with Des Lynam in place of the BBC's Match of the Day. When they lost the highlights and MOTD returned, the results programme also went off air.
That's right. 'The Goal Rush' was it's name. It had evolved out of an earlier programme on ITV2 called 'Football First'.

There's not 'massive mistrust' anymore than usual.  The BBC isn't trusted by a significant number of people in the UK at any one time, the only difference is its a different side this time; the one that's usually sneering at people who protest the BBC

Tim Davie just needs to put Lineker on IR35, to clear up his tax status and obligation issue.  Everyone who's breached an agreement to perform a service should be dropped if they're freelance or put into disciplinary if staff.

Its utterly insane to defend someone who costs 10,000 peoples TV licences -the highest paid- yet doesn't have tax arrangements to pay his pair share in the same way as other BBC workers have been forced to.
