Well I'm not a football fan at all so will be watching MOTD tonight for the first time in my life, for one.

Could see Charlotte Moore or another experienced member of the executive board as an alternative to Turness as acting DG if he did step down.

Needs to be someone with no links to the government or the Tory party for people to have a chance of regaining trust in the BBC.

Well, this should be interesting!

Surely there's some legal repercussion for using the "Match of the Day" name?

It's no worse than 'not the one show' and will probably have similarly humiliating viewing figures.

In other news, are not showing the highlights under the MotD banner tonight. The broadcast is, well, just weird!

Even seeing that clip is offensive.

They've not even referred to it as 'Match of the Day' - there was a 'Premier League Highlights' title card then straight into Bournemouth vs Liverpool.

RE: Gary Lineker/BBC Asylum Controversy - Ant - 11-03-2023

Well this is a strange watch, no titles just straight into the (commentator-less) highlights.

This is quite bizarre it’s like watching a broadcast feed of the PLP highlights show on the second audio track.
