I'll check the Virgin programming guide tomorrow to 100% confirm as it goes up to two weeks.

Listings have definitely confirmed the closure date (1st September) I've posted earlier in this thread.

The very last programme on the CITV Channel is two episodes of 'The Rubbish World of Dave Spud' at 8.30pm.

After the closure it's pretty likely we'll see CITV programming migrate to ITV2 on the following Monday (4th September) to fulfill that ex-GMTV2 licence quota. At the very least, some form of linear outlet has been retained to partially make up for removing the channel.

According to whattowatch.com, there's set to be a programme called "Close" that airs after 9pm on September 1st. Probably either an info loop for ITVX Kids, or a simple screen telling you the channel's no more.

Presumably that's going to be a slide advertising ITVX Kids, in place of the usual MHEG caption saying they're back on air the next day.

Does the ITV2 slot start Sept 1st then? Can't see that lasting long - will probably move across to ITVBe eventually if ITV can't get out of the "GMTV2" requirement and sit alongside Little Be.

Nope. ITV2 listings on that day still show the Guinness World Records and Secret Crush in the mornings.

Block will definitely begin airing on Monday if anything.

What’s gonna happen to the CITV programming on ITV1 on Weekend Mornings?

I can't see that happening, ITV2 is high up on the channel list and more likely to be stumbled across. ITVBE however is targeted at mums with kids so it makes sense the under 6s are covered by BE as the mums would be seeking out that channel anyway.

Older Kids will likely stick to the kids section of the programme guide anyway or will already be using apps, eventually over time internet access will improve for all.

I suspect there's a reason why ITV Be can't have the obligation moved to it, otherwise they'd have done just that by starting Little Be at 0700.

It might be that it falls outside the 'Channel 3' franchise regulations having opened after the STV settlement (as too was ITV Encore, ITV Box Office etc).

Yes, just being rebranded under the ITVX Kids brand presumably.
