RE: Talk TV - Omnipresent - 12-11-2022

Piers has written, in characteristically immodest style, his diaries of his time with TalkTV over the past 12 months.

He does acknowledge ratings have "fluctuated widely" since launch, but predictably says they are increasingly irrelevant.

Quote:Piers Morgan Uncensored has now been on air for six months and in that time Britain’s had three prime ministers, four chancellors and three home secretaries. I’ve locked horns with the most divisive US president in history, travelled to the heart of missile-ravaged Ukraine to meet a modern-day Churchill, covered a historic royal jubilee and funeral, opened a show clutching a greased piglet and blown up the internet going toe to toe with the world’s most controversial celebrity.

Oh, and the world heavyweight boxing champion is about to pay me £1 million in pound coins. It’s been one helluva ride, and we’ve only just begun.

So it's essentially a case of...
- High viewing figure: Look at how many viewers watched my programme yesterday at peak and average, along with percentage share.
- Relatively high figure: Look at how many viewers watched my programme yesterday at peak and the percentage share.
- Low viewing figure: Ratings are increasingly irrelevant, I don't know why people make such a fuss about them.

It’ll be interesting to see the numbers for the Ronaldo/Piers interview, given all the news minutes it’s been given today. Some of the social media views have been quite high, one video has peaked at almost 11 Million views on Twitter. But they seem to be dropping the interview in parts, obviously the headlines dropping last night before being shown properly on Wednesday and Thursday.

RE: Talk TV - Jon - 15-11-2022

Watched a bit earlier and the shows from the radio studio seem to be using lapel mics now.

Edit: must be daytime only they’ve got back to regular set up now.

RE: Talk TV - London Lite - 18-11-2022

334k for Piers interview with Ronaldo on Wednesday evening. The most successful ratings for the programme since launch.

Vanessa Feltz coming from the radio show today instead of the VR studio, unclear as to why.

The Talk is using the VR studio at 6pm tonight, they have been moved to 6pm this Friday, so the Piers Morgan interview with Ronaldo can be repeated, so they need the extra space. Vanessa is a radio show which does not need the space of the VR studio.

The Talk's airing from 6-7pm (now) to make way for both parts of the Ronaldo interview from 8-10pm so that's likely why.

Feltz's show was cut short an hour.

Crazy highs and lows!!

RE: Talk TV - nwtv2003 - 18-11-2022

In all fairness, I know some outlets don’t tend to count YouTube and other social media platforms for ratings, but Part 1 of the Ronaldo interview has had 3.6M views on YouTube.
