“I’m going to take a well-needed break first and concentrate on recharging the batteries. It’s been a busy couple of decades.I look forward to the next challenge.”
I'm fascinated to know what's gone on behind the scenes

Unaware of the issues or how seriously they are - but that aside: I think he was a real star at the launch of TalkTV. Alongside Kate McCann, they offered some real great newsy insight during the 7pm and later 10pm programmes. If only that was a little more consistent across the schedule.

I've not watched Talk TV in a while now, but really impressed with the quality of their reporting here - it's reminiscent of something Channel 4 or ITV would do and some topical reporting could set the channel apart.
Well packaged, too, especially when compared with GB News' reports which often look like they've been shot on a potato.

Comes to no surprise that TalkTV's flagship programme, 'Piers Morgan Uncensored', lost out to 'The Graham Norton Show' for the 'TV Interview' category at the National Television Awards tonight (5th September).
This was his reaction on X:

Humble in victory and gracious in defeat to the end, eh?

TV Interview was quite a broad and strange category.. should Piers Morgan really be up against Chris and Rosie Ramsey?

I agree, I also felt it was a bit of a strange category. It seemed to blur the lines between interviews and chat shows.
Surely with that category name it should have been for a specific interview, such as Piers Morgan's interview with the PM. Maybe they weren't comfortable with the other interviews that might be in that category if that was the case. The BBC's interview with Schofield springs to mind, as something that could have been in the interview category which might have been awkward.

If they were going to show any, you’d have thought they’d have shown the Ronaldo interview in the nomination, as that is pretty much the highest profile (and probably most viewed) to date.

I don't think ITV would have wanted their big, quasi-promotional vehicle awards night reminding everyone of the actions of a former presenter.

Ian Collins presented First Edition last night and I thought he did a really good job.
Got a lot of time for Ian, he always seems to have thought out his views rationally (even if I may disagree with some of them) instead of being a shock-jock like some others on the station are.
