Awesome short film. Love the retroness of two of those combos having the original 82 colours.

Also with putting the '4' back front and centre. Anyone get big, big, big 2004 era vibes?

The first one too. Indeed arguably more could have as well or at least used one of the 5 colours. Indeed I don't really understand why they changed the generic version to green when most of them are a light grey in these idents.

BTW in one of the new idents the date of the 2nd of November 1982 also appeared (I love it when channels acknowledge their own history)

Possible - the red balloons could be Film4 too. They do now need to put the same attention to detail into the menus - the cross channel menus begin with the 4 logo but then just use text to promote "on E4", "on More4" etc. when they could animate the logo onto the programme graphic.

Hopefully new looks for More4 and 4Seven at least follow - that latter especially. It doesn't need anything flash - just the logo animating in the way it does in the C4 generic logo over something in the 4Seven colours, perhaps keeping the light to dark concept during the day.

E4's idents now actually 5 years old but still feel really fresh, as indeed do Film4's who are around a decade old now.


P.S. Worth noting how the recent Pride and F1 idents don't fit into this concept.

P.P.S. Any chance of a new look C4 News tonight given that usual coincides with a revamp, though of course this revamp hasn't been the all in one effort of those in the past.
