RE: Channel 4 Pres: 2023 - Present - Edogawa Ranpo - 05-10-2023

For those who like poetry, I've thought I'd show all the poems announced by the announcers so far today on Channel 4. The sister channels used the same poems as shown on the programme descriptions.

Before Countdown at 6am:
Alphabet coffee.
Hot buttered mathematics.
Breakfast, Countdown style.

Before Cheers at 6:45am:
Step into a bar.
Love, friendship or adventure.
Stories on the rocks.

Before Cheers at 7:10am:
Is what we see true?
Do our own eyes deceive us?
Everyone, human.

Before Everybody Loves Raymond at 7:35am:
Families matter.
Unless they don't, do they not?
Love is what matters.

Before another Raymond at 8am:
Bed and space peaceful, both filled with stars and magic, no place for regret.

Before Frasier at 8:25am:
Throw out your feelings, like an old banana skin, but they still exist.

Before another Frasier at 8:55am:
Doctors and brothers, brains and blood tether the pair, like a tug of war.

Before another Frasier at 9:25am:
End of an era. The unsteadiness of change is where we find strength.

Before Chateau DIY at 9:55am:
Buy a fancy house.
Discover its uniqueness.
Let it sing its song.

Before Amazing Spaces at 10:55am:
Never about size, for its depth is found elsewhere, immeasurable.

Before Steph's Packed Lunch at 12:
Food is but one thing, for we are social beings, nourish ourselves please.

Before Countdown at 2:10pm:
Really? Is it you?
Are we part of your routine?
You are part of ours.

Before A Place in the Sun at 3pm:
The world is too big, to stay in the same place, follow what calls you.

Before The Great House Giveaway at 4pm:
Renovation angst, hard with people you know, better with strangers?

Before A New Life in the Sun at 5pm:
100 lifetimes, the same heart, where the mind grows but the heart does lead.

Part 2 coming tonight.

All a bit generic and bland - they could have had so much more fun with it, but C4 don't seem to do fun nowadays.

Thought much the same thing when they went through that phase of doing a haiku every night before The Simpsons (and other phases such as mispronouncing the title, for instance)

Here's part 2

Before Four in a Bed at 6pm:
Eggs poached or scrambled, the juiciest sausage wins, different pillows.

Before The Simpsons at 6:30pm:
Laughing, eviction. Is our family the cartoon? Are they telling the truth?

Before An Extra Slice at 8pm:
Sweet masterpieces in manner, if not flavour. Effort always wins.

Before Taskmaster at 9pm:
The throne may be his, but who's having the most fun? We hope that it's you. Now on Channel 4, strong language, adult humour. Our task: to enjoy.

Before 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown at 10pm:
Did we ask them all? Leopards, lions and tigers?
We can't miss them out. Lawyers say beware, strong language, adult humour, not Jimmy singing?

Final poem before Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home:
Made of the same things, but only bare to a few, some already home.

RE: Channel 4 Pres: 2023 - Present - bkman1990 - 08-10-2023

The Channel 4 website has a holding page for My Adventures with Superman. They have the rights to this series in the UK as it's part of the Adult Swim programme slate.

The provisional date for the 1st episode of this series is Friday the 20th of October at 1:50am. The series will be shown on either E4 or E4 Extra.

E4 heavily advertising Rick and Morty too, though guess that'll end up overnight too.

Never, Rick and Morty is the Adult Swim show E4 has consistently put in primetime.
They only time they’ve aired new episodes overnight is to simulcast their American counterpart.

RE: Channel 4 Pres: 2023 - Present - F4C - 09-10-2023

Saw the E4 Rick & Morty ads last night and it made me wonder… when the hell are Channel 4 gonna get going with Phase Two of this massive company-wide rebrand they touted?

The way they advertised it made it sound like a massive rebrand with all channels using the same idents, branding, etc. It’s been nearly four months since Channel 4 got its new look and you’ve thought they would have got something sorted by now.

Seeing as that sounds like a really terrible idea (see: ITV), I'd have thought we'd want that to be delayed indefinitely.
