Venessa Feltz on Talk TV claimed the relationship between Phil & Holly she’s witnessed was absolutely normal and there being no tension between them the other day. Now of course she can’t say much as, if she doesn’t wanted to keep her role on the show.

But it wouldn’t be surprising if their personal relationship was fine, and it’s Holly’s management not wanting crush the story in a bid to distance the pair.

Does she still appear on This Morning at all? IIRC she was a newspaper review panelist in her BBC days.

According to the Sun, "Producers have compiled an emergency team of fill-in hosts from their presenting roster to keep the show afloat for the next week"

I'm guessing that either Alison, Dermott or both are unavailable Mon-Thu next week, otherwise they'd presumably take the baton

Yes, she was talking about being on this week. Which they also just showed a clip of this week.

It’s probably because they’d be the ones coming under scrutiny. Taking them off air makes sense, producers already know what they can do.

Tomorrows newspapers having fun with their headlines. The Sunday People “ITV: We’ve had our Phil” and The Sunday Mirror “They Think It’s All Sofa It Is Now”.

That last one wouldn’t win ‘Pun of the week’

Agreed. It almost works as a piece of wordplay but falls slightly short, or, in other words - so near yet sofa.

Very noteable how the press are concentrating on the supposed "feud" as the reasoning for his departure rather than the other matters which are probably of more concern to viewers and advertisers. After all feuds in TV are usually spun as a good thing - they were running stories last year badically implying more people werewatching Countdown to see if Rachel and Anne has a fist fight.

As for next week I think the show is lucky that Alison and Dermot have developed into such a strong B-team, whilst Craig and Josie have become a strong C-team too, plus they've Rochelle in the mix who always seems to be available.

For all the fuss about Eamonn and Ruth when they departed the show is probably better positioned to move forward now than it was a couple of years ago, which is partly why the changes were made in the first place.

Although they say he will still host other shows, I think we all know the tabloids will keep it going, writing negative stories from unknown sources day after day, so I expect he’ll be off screen for a few years.

I’m thinking maybe Stephen Mulhern might host the soap awards. It would fit in with how he hosts the annual big soap quiz, and I’m sure he’d take it in his stride

Dancing on Ice, probably one or two presenters who were previous contestants on the show. How about former winner Joe Swash?  Undecided
