Things are falling apart for him. He’s now been dropped by YMU after being one of its founder members 35 years ago.

He has also resigned from ITV with immediate effect and will not be hosting the Soap Awards next Saturday (for broadcast the following week) as originally planned

Phillip Schofield resigns from ITV completely and steps back from any current/ongoing/future ITV assignments.

Had an affair with a colleague on this morning. ‘Unwise but not illegal’ according to his statement.

Think that was inevitable.
Thought the soap awards were shown live nowadays after years of being pre-recorded. Probably lucky that whatever "new information" has come to light didn't come out in between the filming and broadcast.

So: cue next round of speculation: who will now present the soap awards? Alison and Dermot? Lol.

They went back to pre recording as they didn’t rate well on Saturday Night but it’s the best day for various soaps to hold them on.
Dancing on Ice is the bigger problem. Have to get the new host/s working well or ITV coukd habe two major scheduling slots for 2025 to fill after Ant and Dec end Takeaway.

Back to being pre-recorded this year, don’t know if there’s been a specific reason for it but it never really felt right on a Saturday.
Stephen Mulhern might get a call up for the soap awards. Maybe Joel dommett as well?

I’d put a decent amount of money on it being Stephen Mulhern, if he’s available

It was never going to happen once he left This Morning. I wonder if it’ll be Rylan, possible part of the reason he’s taking some time off his Radio 2.
I’d be surprised if his management didn’t know about the affair, as it’s widely speculated he came out to kill the story coming out at the time.
