Yesterday - Milkshake - 27-05-2023

Has anyone else seen the new Yesterday Ident?  Checking the listings it would seem the ident getting used mainly overnight or at 6am at the weekends.   Good to see its still in getting new ident.

RE: Yesterday - Thomanory - 30-05-2023

To be fair, I don't think Yesterday is in a particularly good state at the moment. They have been showing Abandoned Engineering at 11pm since around late 2019, their music programming has only recently been delegated to late nights and early mornings (which questions the use of the music zone ident if no one is watching), and they have really been restricting themselves with what they can show in terms of variety. As for archive programming, well the comedy is now just 'Allo 'Allo! and One Foot in the Grave, both delegated to the Saturday and Sunday evening slot. That's a long fall since when they were showing over stuff from 9-11pm on weeknights during the lockdown in 2020, like Blackadder and Auf Wiedershen, Pet. I don't know, I just think it's not as good as it was (at the very best at least) three years ago.

To be fair, same goes for GOLD with most of their archive output, even the creator of Phoenix Nights (Peter Kay) have stated that the amount of comedy being shown endlessly by the channel, specifically Only Fools and Horses, have ruined the shows themselves.

Not to mention it's not unusual to see the same episode of a show repeated two or three times in a day.

Not new, these are about a year old. But the basis is to zone up those content as the usual Idents are more neutral in tone.

To be fair half the time the zone ident don't get used, so it can be a hit and a miss if you spot them.
