...but nothing on the ticker/flipper which has, as usual, been uselessly scrolling through the same three headlines over and over again:

Channel 4 News also have boots on the ground in Nottingham; this eyewitness report from shortly after 10am.

I think Channel 5 News have someone there too.

But if they're going to drop everything and run with the news they have to speculate to some extent as that's all that was known.

The GB News approach of just rampantly speculating instead of carrying on until there’s more is a conspiracy theorists dream.

Until there was more than ‘there’s been an incident in Nottingham’, there was nothing worth breaking into.

All news channels go into speculation of possibilities, this is pretty normal in stories like this.

I've not heard, through flicking through channels of assuming ethnicity. Talk TV have full description scrolling.

The coverage, guests & opinions from Sky, GB News & Talk TV has been comprehensive. BBC News, by comparison - very repetitive.

Has there been anything at all on BBC One? It does seem that this is an example of where if you’re going to downgrade the News Channel service, you need to reinstate the sort of updates we’ve seen ITV do on its main channel.

Agreed. Sky, GB News and TalkTV have been very good today. BBC News not as good, sadly and inevitably. Very much pains me to say it as I am still very much pro-BBC.
