RE: CNN - TMD_24 - 14-08-2023

Wolf coming from Studio D today rather than A though again I think they would have had set it up for like if Trump was indicted already as the major breaking news events like I mentioned do come from D.

Apparently this judge is calling tons of witnesses literally right now, before the Grand Jury in Atlanta's Fulton County CourtHouse.. This currently ongoing at this hour 6pm ET. The witnesses have been at the courthouse for hours. The LT Govenor of Geogia was just called in moments ago as reported by the NY Times. He is a major witness. He is currently a CNN commentator as well. So it will be interesting. The timeline seems very fluid. From what Ive seen, No American news network has reported the same news that SkyNews reported. I dont think even NBC News took that story. But we shall see....If anything they are rushing thru these witnesses because the defendant has a big mouth and Im not sure the judge is too happy about that.

CNNI has not reverted to these old new graphics, even now during the simulcast it's the old style.

Meanwhile, comparing these 2 caps of CNN US, the graphics are pretty much the same now, only bigger, which is not an improvement. Why don't they just make them the same size as the old ones, since they are desperate to revert back plus it was one of the good things about the old graphics.

I think the reason Sky reported an indictment was because some Reuters reported supposedly got a document of charges from the Fulton DA website which turned out to be false and had to be retracted.

Anderson is presenting from the broom cupboard flash studio. Seems like we haven't got long to go now...

The mini picture in picture screen is back on the right again although it seems to be hovering a bit too much above the lower thirds.

The indictment document has been shown being handed over live on TV. A first time this has happened. Watching the documents being signed live in court and then handed to the court clerk to be filed and walked down the hall. 10 indictment have been filed. Now we are waiting for the paper processing to take place. Its 9pm ET and indeed this happened today and not tomorrow. The revealing of the names is a different story. So none of the US news outlets reported the indictment was happening tomorrow as Reuters incorrectly reported out. But the processing may take a while. So its interest that the work day has continued well after 5pm. This is VERY unusual that the Fulton County Court is staffed this late into the night to care for the remainder of the hearing and document signing and the processing.

The show name is now the same width as the logo though, which always used to bother me as it was not the case with the old graphics.

With indictment unsealed shortly before 11, the coverage spilled over midnight, with Kaitlan now having the panel in 21L (pre-midnight only Jake had panel in Studio D, and Anderson and Kaitlan were in flash studios

The title on the videowall is "The Georgia indictment of Donald Trump", and both CNN/US and CNNI are having their own ticker/flipper.

On CNN/US the additional hour is billed as "CNN Tonight".

I do kind of like they aren't exactly the same, going back to how it was before uh June.

RE: CNN - Newsroom - 15-08-2023

CNN are continuing their live coverage into the 1am EST hour across both channels.

Kaitlin is anchoring from NYC and Laura Coates is in Washington.
