RE: CNN - EastCoast - 20-08-2023

The disappearing and reappearing red bar when they switch to guest name identifiers is just messy. I also spent 5 minutes trying to figure out if the hurricane graphic has a pattern behind it or if my TV is broken.

Overall the hurricane graphic itself is a huge improvement. Glad to see it refreshed after not being updated in the 2014 package.

If the size increase continues over the coming years, you won't even be able to see Victor & Amara

Overnight weekend team moving to Techwood, anchors hanging back for a few more months until the studio is ready.

At least they’re keeping use of the studio and not resorting to flash sets at Techwood.

Well, I'm sitting watching The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper.
Anderson stood in a studio for less than a minute and then, the actual program started. Why is it called The While Story with Anderson Cooper?! He has no part in the reporting. It takes away from the great work from whatever reporter is presenting that week.

Must be interesting anchoring yet having your entire editorial team elsewhere with only the control room staff left!

I think it was done because Anderson Cooper is one of their stars and they wanted that as a hook, but I agree. If Licht wanted to have a 60 Minutes like thing, it should have been the reporter(s) who put together the story giving the intro then going into the story.

Control room staff will be at Techwood, too. By support staff, Michael means the couple people in the studio getting him his scripts and maybe floor directing, etc. So the CNNI newsroom will be a ghost town (like much of the building already has been) -- but there are still a few more departments that haven't made the move yet.

Also if you were thinking... shouldn't there be more people in that photo? Well.. a large chunk of the writers and copy editors are working from home on any given night -- more so than any other shift.

The new graphics package arrived on CNNI.

At Last they have arrived and they look good

RE: CNN - ginnyfan - 21-08-2023

I wish they would bring back red box/white logo for CNNI.
