RE: CNN - Charles - 17-09-2023

I remember when Amanpour left. It was barely six months after her much-hyped primetime show launched. I wish I could find the video of the giant farewell they gave her on her last show. It even seemed like a crazy idea at the time, and in hindsight, I think everybody can agree that having her host This Week on ABC was a huge mistake.

RE: CNN - EastCoast - 18-09-2023

Looks like Max anchored a full hour of CNN Newsroom at 8am ET (14:00 CET) followed by a simulcast of CNN News Central at 9am ET (15:00 CET)

Not true. Max anchored 9am ET followed by Lynda Kinkade filling in for Becky Anderson who was in Doha. Nevertheless, the first minutes of each hour were simulcasted due to the release of Americans detained in Iran.

Thanks for the correction. I only saw the first couple of minutes and made an incorrect assumption.

RE: CNN - oscillon - 19-09-2023

Now posting this in the correct thread.

Max Foster was on air since 3am ET (at least?), an hour earlier for whatever reason - may be, UN General Assembly?

Also, 9-11 am today will be CNN News Central simulcast, according to the schedule, most likely due to Biden speaking there

RE: CNN - oscillon - 20-09-2023

Apologies for double posting, but today we have Richard Quest doing the 9am hour, an unusual of him outside of Christmas holidays and Royal events.

In another development, next week's schedules for CNNIstarted to appear, and they have Connect the World moved to 9-11am, and 11am being simulcast. May be, in the end, no one is getting the boot, and it is just Julia Chatterley and the team swapping order with Connect the World?

RE: CNN - EastCoast - 20-09-2023

Good spot, oscillon! Went to check the schedule following your post and noticed that One World’s description next week is “One World with Zain Asher and Bianna Golodryga”. A double headed bulletin, from New York must be a good sign for CNNI finally using a New York studio again!

It is strange to have two people for an hour an a person for two although it seems a good improvement.

RE: CNN - mouseboy33 - 20-09-2023

Well I guess they have all these presenters seemingly on the payroll sitting around (Not really). Im sure they must be doing other things. But geez these simulcasts are killing CNNi. Its no wonder they can keep any anchors.

RE: CNN - ginnyfan - 20-09-2023

That's unexpected but good development. Another double headed show and hopefully a proper NY set for CNNI, again, would liven up this bland hour. Plus Bianna is very good!
