Back to domestic for the 6pm hour with Wolf though it will probably be International joining Max with Jim at 7pm ET.

Jim Sciutto on CNNI now. It's feels unreal that CNNI tuned in for just one hour of domestic coverage, and did most of today's coverage on its own. Max is the best thing that could have happened!

Not true. From 11AM to 8PM GMT it was simulcasted.

They did use Christiane Amanpour that's also good for CNN International.

We'll perhaps be getting even more of this given that the cable distributors don't seem to be too happy with the CNN US simulcasts on MAX.
Was nice seeing Amanpour and Quest host a regular bulletin rather than their specialised shows. Rare for CNN London to be in use too on weekends iirc. Sam Kiley was reporting from the newsroom so I assume they were using the flash studio for both Quest and Amanpour rather than the studio where they could have had Sam in with them.

Quest and Jim have been behind flash studios but Christiane Amanpour was located in the proper London studio, she had some guests join her from the desk at various points of her show.
Wolf and Dana in DC have been in Studio D for their shows, I know Wolf was in the flash for his earlier shift but was in Studio D when The Situation Room aired.

I love me some CNN International, but doubling up on resources like this makes no sense. It’s all just for the benefit of CNN Max.
The coverage on CNN U.S. has been fantastic. If Max didn’t exist, CNNI would just be simulcasting it.
Right now, special Max coverages means extra CNNI coverage…. At least on Saturday and Sunday.
There ARE dedicated CNN Max teams, but they only work Mon-Fri (and they operate like Domestic shows, not like CNNI shows).
