Kaitlan Collins anchored The Source back from NY yesterday. Most likely her brief dispatch to Israel was related to the Biden visit (due to her WH reporter's past).

With Jake Tapper out in Tel Aviv and another vote to sort out a speaker today, CNN coverage of today's Speaker vote is being led by Wolf Blitzer in Washington and Dana Bash from Capitol Hill. Jake Tapper is also presenting but as the on-site Israel presenter.

Amanpour not airing in it’s usual slot on CNNI this evening as US House Republicans are going to finally elect a new Speaker.

CNN News Central has just bade farewell to the control room in CNN Center in Atlanta, from Monday it will be Techwood

RE: CNN - oscillon - 27-10-2023

Apologies for double-posting. At 1:32 PM ET CNNI did abruptly cut away from Amanpour mid-interview to a simulcast of Jake and Anderson on Domestic. Domestic had been just returning from a break, so the intro to the simulcast was rather clean - "Breaking news" stinger. However, the outro of Amanpour was absent - they just quickly faded it away in the middle of the interview, without any acknowledgement given.

Today's edition of Amanpour was itself rather interesting - it looked as if they were simultaneously trying to record parts of the programme for PBS to show in several hours' time while still providing breaking news coverage, thus interviews with experts were shown on a split screen with live pictures from Gaza. There was no usual headlines/opening for the programme either, just another "Breaking News" stinger at the start.

But CNNI will still be there, using the studio, right?

RE: CNN - mouseboy33 - 27-10-2023

Well the tweet says the final show produced. If I remember correctly they said that they producers and control rooms would be switched over before the studios and anchors are moved to the new studios.

RE: CNN - TMD_24 - 28-10-2023

Wolf Blitzer has joined the presenting crew out in Israel, I think his show came from Jerusalem. I believe that's all the major CNN presenters having an on-site presence from Israel.

There are once again International opt-outs again this weekend. Saturdays 8pm-11pm (UK time) will be presented by Becky Anderson with John Vause doing 12am-2am Sunday morning (Three hours still because of time change). Becky Anderson and Bianca Nobilo will do 7pm-10pm Sunday and Julia Chatterley doing 11pm-2am. Also doing extra shifts this weekend are Max Foster doing 9am-11am Saturday and Richard Quest 8am-10am Sunday. Bianca Nobilo is doing an extra hour on Monday from 7am-9am solo without Max. Quest Means Business is also off on Monday and replaced with International Newsroom with Julia Chatterley.

Yeah until the Techwood studios are ready.  Perhaps by the end of December.

And it’s not just CNNI.  CNN This Morning Weekend is also still anchored out of CNN Center.  And so are Fred’s newsroom hours.  When she anchors CNN Max, that’s also out of CNN Center.

Basically any time you see an anchor or correspondent in Atlanta, it’s at CNN Center because the Techwood studios just aren’t ready yet.

It turns out Becky Anderson has a co-anchor today as well, not only on Sunday: it's Nick Watt from LA, who steps in for stories unrelated to Israel-Gaza conflict.

Also, now the aston with the program name says just "Newsroom", like on Domestic or Max, not "CNN Newsroom".
